Fitness Band Secrets – How to Get the Ultimate Calf Workout
Fitness bands are a great tool to build muscle strength and develop your muscles. Many people have found them fun and easy to use, especially at beginner level. Of course, they are also very useful for advanced training. Because they are so versatile, elastic bands can be used to work on different muscles.
Here an easy routine using fitness bands. It’s called the leg abduction and is done with the help of a loop band. This workout routine requires 10 to 20 minutes a day, twice a week for beginners, a little more for advanced levels.
The leg abduction workout is a great way to develop balance and build up calf as well as thigh muscles. Here is how it’s done:
The leg abduction routine is performed using an elastic loop wrapped around your 2 legs.
Step 1 – Stand next to a chair, on your left side, with your both feet inside the exercise loop at ankle level.
Step 2 – use the chair for support by placing your hand on it. It’s important to remember to keep the abdominal muscles contracted throughout the exercise.
Step 3 – Shift most of your body weight to the leg that is the furthest from the chair (i.e. the right leg). Remember to keep that leg softly bent at the knee.
Step 4 – Lift laterally the left leg (which is positioned the closest to the chair). Keep the foot flexed and toes facing outwards. Now cross your left leg in front of the right.
It’s important that you keep the hips and shoulders steady and only release the pressure progressively as you slowly return to the starting position and repeat.
There are many more fitness bands routines you can explore. Resistance tubes are extremely versatile, easy to use and can be used to build almost any part of your muscles.
